Mountain Hill Community Church is committed to God through His son, Jesus, and we base our teaching upon God’s revealed word, the Bible. It is our desire that people come to place their trust in Christ, accept His forgiveness and allow Him to lead them by His Holy Spirit as they grow in their relationship with Him.
We seek to provide regular teaching and preaching of the Bible, meaningful times of worship, opportunities for fellowship, prayer, outreach, and other ministries for people of all ages. We believe God is doing extraordinary things among His people and we invite you and your family to join us.
The members and “friends” of Mountain Hill Community Church primarily come from the northern part of Greenville and Spartanburg Counties, and from inside and outside The Cliffs at Glassy, The Cliffs Valley, and The Cliffs at Moutain Park. And still, there’s room for YOU!
Our denominational backgrounds are as varied as our geography: Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Congregational, and even a few Episcopalians and Catholics. So how do we do it? How do we worship without fighting? How do we evangelize with so many theological positions represented? We are determined to know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2).
What To Expect

Caring Community
At MHCC, we’re more concerned about the person than the wardrobe. Whether it’s blue jeans and a button down or a suit and tie, you’ll be comfortable here

Open Dialog
We can discuss what we have in common on equal terms without dropping ultimatums about faith and dogma that set walls between passionate hearts.

Excellent Sermons
The preaching of God’s Word is central to the mission and activities of MHCC, and it includes all 66 books of the Bible, sometimes taught “topically” and other times book-by-book.

Serving Others
Members are involved in local, national, and global ministry as a way to let our light shine before others, so that they may see our good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven.

Giving Members
The goal of MHCC is for 40-50% of our annual expenditures to be spent on ministries and missions sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Style of Worship
Our worship services tend to be more “traditional” in format utilizing both hymns and some contemporary music. On occasion visual worship methods like videos, interpretive movement, and sign language are used.
