29 May “The Man Who Amazed Jesus” Luke 7:1-10 As I prepared for today’s sermon, I couldn’t help but reflect on the fact that tomorrow is Memorial Day – a day that our nation sets aside to remember those who have died serving our country in the military. 15 May “Salvation Has A Name” Acts 4:1-22 There’s a story about a college student who stayed up all night preparing for his zoology test. He entered the classroom and saw ten stands each with a bird on it. Each bird was covered with a sack and only the legs were showing. The professor instructed the students to use the legs to identify each bird by name, habitat, genus, and species. The perplexed student, sitting in the first row, was consumed by despair. All the legs looked alike. Enraged, he approached the desk of the

And just so you know . . . that’s not an easy task to accomplish in the church because not everybody can be a mom (whether for physical or personal reasons). However, everyone at some time in their life has had a mom, and at that time our mom was the most important person in our world. Some of us had moms who made great sacrifices in our behalf, and we’re profoundly grateful for that. So today we honor our moms and those women in our lives that – to us –

01 May “Lost and Found” Luke 15:1-10 Well, we added another story to the Norris family collection. It’s a “lost” story. Yep, that’s right; Parker lost the iPhone he got for his birthday. Now, I want to make it clear – if for no other reason than to help me not feel so bad – it was a used phone. It had been in the family for quite a while. Of course, being the youngest child means always getting “hand-me-downs” and the phone was no different. It started out as a new phone for Melissa about 4 years ago (2012), then was
